Workspaces & Auth Tokens
Every project belongs to a workspace. New accounts start with a workspace called Default — create more from the dashboard sidebar whenever you need to separate environments, clients, or teams.
Auth tokens give programmatic access to one workspace's management API: create, list, and delete projects and API keys without signing in. Ideal for CI pipelines, provisioning scripts, and automation.
Creating an Auth Token
- Log in to memory-dashboard.audaxic.com
- Select the workspace in the sidebar, then go to Auth Tokens
- Click Create Token, give it a name, and pick its permissions (scopes)
- Copy the token — you'll only see it once. It looks like
at_abc123...
Tokens are shown by prefix (e.g. at_ab12cd...) afterwards so you can identify them. Delete a token any time to revoke it instantly.
Permissions (Scopes)
Each token carries a subset of these scopes:
| Scope | Allows |
|---|---|
projects:read | List projects, get a project |
projects:write | Create and delete projects |
keys:read | List API keys |
keys:write | Create and delete API keys |
A token without the required scope gets 403 Forbidden. Tokens can only see their own workspace — other workspaces return 404 as if they don't exist. Tokens can never create, list, or delete other tokens (use the dashboard while signed in).
Using an Auth Token
Send it as a Bearer token to the management API at https://memory-api.audaxic.com:
# List projects in the token's workspace
curl https://memory-api.audaxic.com/api/projects \
-H "Authorization: Bearer at_your_token_here"
# Create a project
curl -X POST https://memory-api.audaxic.com/api/projects \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer at_your_token_here" \
-d '{"name": "ci-preview-123"}'
# Create an API key for a project
curl -X POST https://memory-api.audaxic.com/api/api-keys \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer at_your_token_here" \
-d '{"name": "preview-key", "project_id": "proj_..."}'
# Clean up afterwards
curl -X DELETE https://memory-api.audaxic.com/api/api-keys/key_id_here \
-H "Authorization: Bearer at_your_token_here"
curl -X DELETE https://memory-api.audaxic.com/api/projects/proj_id_here \
-H "Authorization: Bearer at_your_token_here"
When creating a project with a token, the project always lands in the token's workspace (a mismatched workspace_id is rejected). Project and API key limits (500,000 / 1,000,000) are counted per account across all workspaces. Management create requests are limited to 100 per hour per IP.
Auth Tokens vs API Keys
API key (ak_...) | Auth token (at_...) | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Store and search memories (data plane) | Manage projects and keys (management plane) |
| Scope | One project | One workspace |
