MCP Server Overview
Audaxic provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, allowing AI agents to manage memories using the standard MCP protocol. This is the easiest way to integrate memory into AI agents that support MCP.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI agents connect to external tools and data sources. With Audaxic's MCP server, your agent can:
- Store memories — Automatically remember facts from conversations
- Search memories — Retrieve relevant context using natural language
- List memories — View all stored memories
- Delete memories — Remove outdated or incorrect information

Authentication
The MCP server uses your Audaxic API key for authentication. Pass it as a Bearer token in the Authorization header.

The Audaxic MCP server works with any MCP-compatible client, including:
- Claude Code — Anthropic's coding agent
- Cursor — AI-powered code editor
- Windsurf — AI IDE
- OpenCode — Open-source AI coding assistant
- OpenAI Codex — OpenAI's coding agent
- Custom agents — Any client implementing the MCP protocol
Plugins (Recommended)
For automatic conversation saving and context injection, use our dedicated plugins:
If you use Codex CLI, Claude Code CLI, or OpenCode CLI, install the plugin instead of manually configuring MCP — it handles saving and context injection automatically:
- Claude Code Plugin — Auto-saves conversations and injects memories into prompts for Claude Code
- Codex Plugin — Auto-saves conversations and injects memories into prompts for Codex
- OpenCode Plugin — Auto-saves conversations and injects memories into prompts for OpenCode
- Import Past Conversations — Migrate your old Codex/Claude/OpenCode CLI history into Audaxic Memory
